I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
